A speciality about this market is that the buyers get to meet the actual creators, producers and makers of the goods that they are buying.Some of the available items of interest are special Tasmanian Sheepskin boots, Tasmanian arts and crafts ' timbers, ceramics, hand-worked glass, top range clothing ' as well as fresh vegetables, fruit and flowers.

The Salamanca Market visitor is sure to also enjoy the buskers entertaining the visitors with barber shop quartets, classical violins, Irish harps and Blues guitars.The atmosphere is friendly, light and delightful and there are many bistros and cafes where the visitor can pause for refreshment whilst strolling through the market.
